Zusammenfassung
Die Bilanzierung von Elementflüssen gibt Auskunft über das Verhalten von Schwermetallen im betrachteten Ökosystem. Dabei können sich sowohl An-und Abreicherungen als auch stationäre Zustände in einzelnen Kompartimenten oder im ganzen Waldökosystem ergeben. Um Zustandsänderungen erkennen zu können, bedarf es einerseits langfristiger und flächenrepräsentativer Flußmessungen, andererseits einer Abschätzung einzelner Kompartimentvorräte (Inventuren). Für Schwermetalle sind die Ergebnisse derartiger Inventuren für einen Buchen-und Fichtenbestand im Soiling ausführlich bei Mayer (1981) bzw. Ellenberg et al. (1986) und erneut einschließlich weiterer Vergleichsbestände in Nordwestdeutschland bei Schultz (1987), Lamersdorf (1988), Andreae (1993) und Matschullat et al. (1994) dargestellt. Nach Lamersdorf (1988) und Andreae (1993) ergibt sich zusammenfassend für die betrachteten Spurenstoffe folgende Reihenfolge in den Elementvorräten der untersuchten Fichtenbestände in Nordwestdeutschland:
Zn > Pb > Cu > Cr > Cd/Co/Ni > As > Se > Bi
