Zusammenfassung
Die Emotionen von Mitarbeitern haben eine große Bedeutung für den Erfolg von Organisationen. Führungskräfte stehen demnach vor der Aufgabe, nicht nur mit ihren eigenen Emotionen umzugehen, sondern zusätzlich die im Führungsprozess auftretenden Emotionen ihrer Mitarbeiter zu erkennen, ihre Entstehung zu verstehen sowie sie zu steuern und in produktive Bahnen zu lenken. Das nachfolgende Kapitel widmet sich den Emotionen im Führungsprozess und zeigt, wie Führungskräfte mit diesen Aufgaben umgehen können. Es stellt zunächst die wichtigsten Grundlagen zum Verständnis von Emotionen und deren Regulation dar, diskutiert darauf aufbauend Einflussmöglichkeiten von Führungskräften und leitet Ansatzpunkte für konkretes Führungshandeln ab. Abschließend werden Instrumente vorgestellt, die Führungskräfte in der Praxis des Emotionsmanagements unterstützen können.
