Zusammenfassung

Seitdem bekannt ist, daß subcelluläre Strukturen wie Plastiden in der Regel nicht de novo entstehen, sondern aus bereits vorhandenen Organellen durch Teilung hervorgehen, und nachdem aus zahlreichen Befunden die Plastiden als genetisch autonom erkannt wurden, ist es wichtig zu wissen, ob das genetische System der Plastiden dem des Zellkerns prinzipiell vergleichbar ist und sich in seiner Gesamtheit vom Gehalt an aktiver DNA bis zur Proteinsynthese in das bekannte, vor allem aus Befunden an Bakterien und einigen tierischen Systemen entwickelte Schema einordnen läßt. Es soll versucht werden, den heutigen Stand des Wissens darüber aufzuzeigen.
