Abstract

China is a large agricultural country, the safe storage of grain is a major question related to the national economy and the people’s livelihood in our country. In the daily custody of grain, the major factor affecting the security storage of grain is the temperature and moisture of grain. So, in order to ensure the security storage of grain, the monitoring of grain temperature and moisture is essential. In this paper, the focused research of the grain temperature-moisture monitoring system based on wireless sensor network technology overcomes the current disadvantages of our country’s grain information monitoring system, and gives the design scheme of its hardware and software system. The sensor node in the hardware system is a digital sensing device based on two-wire, which can measure the temperature and moisture of the multilayer grain on line. Verified by several tests and analyzed the test results, which shows stable work performance, high-precision measurement capability and low cost of the system, and that the system is suitable to large-scale popularize. The results will give the important help on development of the technique of the grain monitoring in China.
