Abstract

The paper discusses how to make better development for institutions for elderly, which are characterized by its great investment, long payback period and welfare character in China. Take Nanjing for example, the paper analyzes the present situation of population aging and related welfare policy, then points out the current problems of construction and operation management of institutions for elderly. Finally, the paper makes suggestions on financial support, supporting policies and planning to solve the existing problems of construction and operation of institutions for elderly in Nanjing.
