Abstract

Practice of medicine is changing continuously and globally. From empirical practices derived through observations, it has entered into systematic practices by observing inferences generated through planned researches. With continuous addition of researches for many decades, it is now undergoing through the phase where inferences generated through individual researches are required to be comprehended in a systematic manner in order to obtain their logical yet comprehensive understanding to add into clinical decision making.

After its impressive application in contemporary medicine, this evidence-based practice of medicine (EBPM) is now a need felt for CAM too. This chapter analyzes the prospective transformation of practice of Ayurveda, the traditional health-care wisdom from orient on lines of EBPM to make it more reliable, reproducible, and applicable in order to optimize the net outcomes of its interventions.
