Zusammenfassung
Definition. Ein Transplantat (engl. »to graft« = pflanzen) ist ein Gewebeanteil, der ohne vaskulären Anschluss verpflanzt wird. Sind Spender und Empfänger identisch, spricht man von einem »Autograft «, sind Spender und Empfänger unterschiedliche Personen, von einem »Allograft« (früher: »Homograft«). Wird Gewebe von einem Tier entnommen und einem Menschen eingepflanzt, wird dieses als »Xenograft« bezeichnet. Materialien nicht biologischen Ursprungs werden als alloplastisch bezeichnet.
