Zusammenfassung
Die Marketingwissenschaft wird seit Jahren begleitet von einer teils kontroversen Diskussion um ihre theoretische Fundierung und die Notwendigkeit bzw. Existenz neuer Denkrichtungen und Paradigmen. Die Ausdehnung des Marketingkonzepts auf diverse institutionelle Bereiche wie beispielsweise das Industriegütermarketing, Dienstleistungsmarketing bis hin zu Non-Profit-Organisationen führte zu einer Spezialisierung auf einzelne Problemfelder und damit zu einer Spezialisierung der Marketingforschung, die der Suche nach generalisierbaren Ansätzen entgegensteht.1 Ohne die Besonderheiten jeder dieser Bereiche zu negieren, stellt sich die Frage, ob eine institutionelle und güterspezifische Betrachtung noch zeitgemäßund für eine Weiterentwicklung der Marketingwissenschaft förderlich ist.2
