The Dynamics of Iranian Borders

Abstract

The Iran -Iraq conflict over a common border became yet another major problem as the result of endless interpositions and transnational intrusions that have caused ceaseless conflicts with long-term consequences in the Middle East . This chapter reveals why mutual agreements between Iran and Iraq have not led to political stability and regional security. The writers review the border conflict’s history and causes as well as mutually signed accords between both nations. The investigation methodically uncovers factors that have, directly or indirectly, intensified regional war(s) and ongoing discord.
