Abstract

RTLS (Real-Time Location System, RTLS), is a real-time or nearly real-time positioning system by wireless communication technology in a designated space (office, venue, city, global). RTLS is usually based on ZigBee, Wi-Fi, UWB, Bluetooth, infrared, ultrasonic, etc. With the features of low cost, low power, low complexity, high positioning accuracy and ease of deployment, it is widely applied in logistics, medical and military fields. This paper presents an application of RTLS based on ZigBee, in order to achieve real-time positioning of the vehicle. The RTLS is built in indoor parking environment, and it is tested and optimized its positioning accuracy. Experimental results show that the vehicle positioning results in the present system can achieve high positioning accuracy, positioning accuracy in 13 meters within a range of positioning accuracy 91.7 % in the 7.8 m range positioning accuracy was 83.3 %, correct positioning accuracy was 79.2 %.
