Abstract
The aim of this work is the elaboration of a hierarchy as initial step to complete an Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) focus on a telehealth system for Parkinson’s disease management. AHP has been frequently used for quantifying qualitative knowledge and experts’ opinions. For that reason, recent works have highlighted the benefits of using AHP to explore user needs in healthcare. The identification of the user needs play a central role in the Health Technology Assessment (HTA) practice. In order to build the hierarchy a focus group has been constituted and consulted in order to take advantage of their knowledge in the field to identify and classify the key user needs around a telehealth system for Parkinson’s disease management. This paper presents the preliminary results of this study presenting the problem we are trying to solve, the study design and the hierarchy of needs which is now in piloting.
