Abstract

This chapter describes the applications of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) in the vocational assessment and job placement processes of vocational rehabilitation (VR). In addition, the chapter reviews empirical research that has investigated predictors of successful employment outcomes in VR and links this research to the ICF conceptual framework. Implications for job placement are discussed and future directions based on the ICF framework are recommended.
