Abstract
This chapter instigates cybersecurity vulnerabilities in FinTech. It discusses several general and specific cybersecurity vulnerabilities exploited in the past. Specific cybersecurity vulnerabilities consist of human, technology, and transaction vulnerabilities. The overall purpose of identifying different types of vulnerabilities is to understand the user behavior in using technology to perform digital transactions. Vulnerabilities exist in every component of the FinTech ecosystem, especially the financial institutions and startups because they use innovative technology and transform traditional financial institutions into contemporary FinTech institutions. Technology developers are also related to cybersecurity vulnerabilities as they need to be aware of potential threats that can exercise vulnerabilities and flaws in the technology that they are developing.
