Abstract

Adult Still disease (ASD) is a rare systemic inflammatory disorder of unknown etiology chracterized by spiking fever with evanescent rash, arthritis, arthralgia and multiorgan involvenent. It often poses a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge however clear clinical guidelines are lacking. In recent years, few sets of diagnostic criterias have been suggested, based on clinical and laboratorial factors. The emergence of specific diagnostic criteria as well as new strategies treating ASD may all provide the clinician with significant tools in the management of this complex autoimmune disorder.
