Fluorescence Quenching Aggregation Numbers in a Non-Ionic Micelle Solution

  • Chapter
Surfactants in Solution

Abstract

Fluorescence methods to characterize amphiphile aggregation have attained much interest during the last few years. The main photophysical process has been the quenching of a fluorescent molecule residing in the aggregates. Both static (steady state illumination) and time resolved techniques have been employed.
