Order-Disorder Phenomena in Metal Hydrides

  • Chapter
Metal Hydrides

Part of the book series: NATO Advanced Study Institutes Series ((NSSB,volume 76))

Abstract

In the last decade, considerable progress has been made in the study of order-disorder phenomena in metal hydrides. The purpose of this paper is to review the recent investigations on the order-disorder transitions in hydrides of the group V transition metals (V, Nb and Ta) and of Pd. The emphasis is put upon the features of structural changes in the equilibrium states on the basis of experimental data.
