Abstract
The aim of this chapter is to articulate the key conceptual foundations of the holistic, therapeutic millieu approach to postacute neuropsychological rehabilitation. For a description of the structural, programmatic, and cognitive–psychotherapeutic remedial elements of such a program, the reader is referred to Chapter 12, this volume.
