  • Conference paper
Urolithiasis and Related Clinical Research

Abstract

Twenty-two years have now elapsed since we first started to use thiazides to prevent calcium stones1,2. However, despite the lengthy experience with the use of these agents, there is probably considerable disagreement concerning the exact role of thiazides in the management of the stone patient. Therefore, I have elected not to attempt a comprehensive review of this subject but rather to address some of the more controversial aspects of thiazide usage and to provide some updated information from our own clinic.
