Signal Characteristics for Target Localization and Discrimination

  • Chapter
Animal Sonar Systems

Part of the book series: NATO Advanced Study Institutes Series ((ASIAS,volume 28))

Abstract

Included in this review are hypotheses regarding exploitable clue structure in target echoes, analyses of echolocation signal forms and how the characteristics of signals might influence echolocation behavior, and explicit, although heuristic, models of specific echolocation phenomena.
