Abstract
There are many similarities between trypsin and the plasma kallikreins, e.g.
-
1.
both hydrolyse Noc-substituted esters of lysine and arginine.
-
2.
both are inhibited by di-isopropylphosphofluoridate and soya bean trypsin inhibitor.
-
3.
both release a kinin from kininogen.
-
4.
both cause an increase in vascular permeability on intradermal injection.
