The Significance of Chromosomal Studies in the Systematics of the Malagasy Lemurs

Abstract

Chromosomal studies of the Malagasy lemurs have been particularly fruitful in two areas of investigation where these animals pose various difficult problems: systematics and evolution. In this chapter, we will report on the significance of cytogenetics in the systematics of the lemurs.
