Abstract

New demands and renewed interests in large scale protein isolation processes have arisen from recent advances in enzyme technology, e.g. enzymic transformation with cofactor regeneration (1) or new developments in the production of biologically active proteins, such as interferon or proteo-hormons by recombinant-DNA technology (2).
