Abstract
The importance of crystal growth for electronic materials is enormous, both because it provides a basis for research on the physics and chemistry of solids and because it is essential to the application of electronic materials. This generalization applies to all classes of electronic materials covered in this book — magnetic materials, semiconductors, and optical materials.
