Abstract
Cannell discusses in Chapter 5 the physiological effects of moisture status on the coffee plant. The effects of the changes from wet to dry seasons and vice versa are vital for flower initiation, flower dormancy breaking and vegetative growth induction. It follows that the distribution of rainfall is as important as the annual rainfall.
