Abstract
In this chapter we want to give a view of the treatment of electrodynamics in the theory of relativity. For this purpose we will recapitulate the relativistic formalism. We use the convention that indices appearing twice are summed: Latin indices i,j, k,… can take values from 1 to 3; Greek indices λ, µ, ν,… run from 1 to 4.
