Abstract
The aetiology of recurrent first trimester abortion has been discussed at some length and includes chromosomal anormalities, uterine anomalies, infections, placentation problems, morphological abnormalities and immunological problems. However, when these patients are investigated, very often nothing abnormal is found. This situation is particularly frustrating for both patient and doctor.
