Abstract
The majority of the use of the World Wide Web within higher education is currently passive. The WWW is largely used as a medium for providing static information. Only a very limited number of institutions use the WWW for interactive learning and teaching. This chapter discusses the experiences of one institution in trying to encourage active use of the WWW for teaching and learning.
