Abstract

We have now heard about the results obtained independently by two research groups studying patterns of fusimotor control in the leg muscles of awake cats. Even though the results and conclusions are not quite consonant there is one common denominator: the indications that the skeletomotor and fusimotor systems are capable of independent action. This is where the findings in cats seem to differ from the findings in man, which Vallbo and I have described.
