This chapter will present our current knowledge on the major toxic manifestations of oxygen; the clinical features-descriptions and incidence of symptoms, mechanisms underlying the oxidative insult, the time-duration relationship defining the safety limits, risk factors leading to enhanced toxicity, and strategies for protection
