Abstract
This article describes the experiences of a team of Operational Research scientists in devising and setting up a two year executive MBA programme at the Warsaw Business School, Centre for Industrial Management at the Polish Academy of Sciences.
The work was funded, in cash terms, by the TEMPUS programme of the European Commission, and in time terms, by the individuals and their respective institutions. The authors describe the history of the project and comment upon its success and the difficulties encountered. The final section comments upon the venture from an OR viewpoint, since it is unusual for Operational Research scientists to have the luxury of designing an MBA course from scratch.
