Abstract
Two species of brachyura, Acanthonyx inglei Tirmizi & Kazmi, 1988 (Epialtidae) and Scalopidia indica Ng and Castro (Scalopidiidae) are recorded for first time from the coastal waters of India. Acanthonyx inglei has so far been reported only from Pakistan, while Scalopidia indica has so far been reported from Andaman Sea.
