Application of MODBUS double-layer communication network technology in intelligent management of urban traffic equipment

Abstract

Nowadays intelligent management of urban traffic is the modern requirement due to unlimited congestion and to improve transportation efficiency. To study the application of MODBUS Double-layer communication network technology in the intelligent management of urban transportation equipment, this paper uses Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU double-layer communication networks to design a smart transport system, and the two-layer communication network is implemented by gateway Conversion of different communication protocols. The results show that the system enables communication signals such as traffic lights, traffic information displays, and monitoring cameras to communicate with the control terminal, and monitor the road traffic conditions in the control terminal, controlling the intelligent transportation device. The intelligent transportation system can synthesize the pavement information that has been collected for drivers and passengers to plan the most energy, and most time-to-time, and most reasonable travel programs. The intelligent transportation system provides a solution to the problem of traffic congestion, and the application of intelligent transportation systems will also greatly optimize urban traffic management models.
