Abstract

The results of the 15th International Symposium on Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, which was held in Florence (Italy) in May 2004, are briefly summarized. Recent achievements and new approaches in pharmaceutical and biomedical analysis presented at the symposium are described. Communications of the participants from Russia are presented. Reports devoted to chirality and its importance for drug safety and therapeutic quality are discussed. Modern methods of pharmaceutical and biomedical analysis applied to solving the problems of doping control are considered.
