Defective MIL-125 Nanocrystals with Enhanced Catalytic Performance for Oxidative Denitrogenation

Abstract

The Ti-based metal-organic framework (Ti-MOF) MIL-125 nanocrystals with structural defects were synthesized by coordination modulation method. Compared to the pristine microporous MIL-125, the defective MIL-125 nanocrystals obtained hierarchically micro-meso-macroporous structure. Furthermore, the missing-linker defects provide rich coordinatively unsaturated sites (CUSs) that greatly promote the intrinsic catalytic activity. It is demonstrated for the first time that the defective hierarchically porous MIL-125 nanocrystals possess highly efficient catalytic performance towards the oxidative denitrogenation (ODN).
