Significance

Few studies focused on the association between the shape and size of Meckel’s cave and outcomes after PBC in patients with PTN. In the present study, we found that both the volume and flatness contributed to clinical outcomes following PBC. Hence, for patients with a large or spherical MC, PBC may not be effective and other procedures should be recommended.
