Abstract

Each set contains ten descriptions of fungi or bacteria. The number accompanying each species name in the index and in the list of accepted species is CMI Description Sheet Number. The index and the list of accepted names include species names as well as names of anamorphs and teleomorphs but not the synonyms cited in the descriptions. Names of conidial states (anamorphs) are given in italics in the index and in the list of accepted names. All are accepted names in the index except when the name is an unaccepted nomenclatural synonym it is followed by the currently accepted name preceded by the = sign in brackets. Cross references are also provided in the index to the newly accepted names to names in descriptions and their number in brackets.
