Emerging Technologies in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Abstract

Incorporation of modern technology into craniofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery needs a fundamental and practical method of analyzing to identify and examining issues related to cost-benefit assessment, practicality, and outcomes compared with other treatment modality. Three concepts of modern medicine, including less invasiveness, rapid recovery, and better quality of life, should be considered in this way. The most recent updates and “hot-topic” technology in craniofacial surgery will be explained in the following section of the chapter.
