Abstract
In the context of transnational trade, international investment has become an important mode of economic interaction. As the most dominant subject among them, the environmental behavior of multinational corporations (herein after referred as “MNCs”) will bring important impact to the sustainable development of host countries. This paper takes the legal issues of environmental protection behavior of MNCs as the research object, and adopts the methods of case study and comparative analysis to study the corresponding management system, adjustment methods, and remedies in China and Japan, with the aim of constructing a legal liability system for environmental protection of MNCs with global significance.
