Online Parameters Identification Method of PMSM for Servo System

Abstract

The complex working conditions of the air rudder servo system will lead to the change of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) electromagnetic parameters. However, the motor control strategy needs accurate electromagnetic parameters to obtain better control performance. This article proposes an online identification method of the PMSM electromagnetic parameters, which can identify the stator resistance, the d-q axis inductance and the rotor flux when the servo system is working. The proposed online identification method adopts a two-stage step identification method to solve the rank deficient problem of the PMSM model. In addition, it is different from the double closed-loop control system of PMSM with fixed motor speed and torque current, and the motor speed and torque current are changing when the servo system is working. The proposed online identification method considers the differential term of the d-q axis current and the condition of parameters identifiability to improve the identification accuracy. The effectiveness of the proposed online identification method is verified by simulation.
