Impact Damages of Braided Composites

Abstract

This chapter discusses the structural and temperature effects of stress distribution in 3-D braided composites under impact loading through the results of finite element analysis. The influences of environment temperature on the internal damage distribution in combination with μ-CT technique are analyzed to reveal the thermo-mechanical coupling damage and energy absorption mechanisms.
