Abstract

Master schedule is a document that gives first-hand information to guide and gauge the workload at the research facility. It is developed out of a thoughtfully planned project for easy tracking of work progress in relation to time. Master schedule is the document of interest for quality assurance personnel and inspection committee as they usually rely on it for their assessments. It is a managerial tool and is an index of productivity, quality, and progress of work of individual study and also the research facility as a whole. Besides serving as a benchmark for QA and a project evaluation tool for the management, it also works as a guide for the research personnel conducting the study by providing means for efficient use of time and resources to achieve their targets.
