Abstract
The purpose of this study is to present and explore blockchain technology and its possible application in the retail market. It also, anticipate the possible applications of blockchain technology that benefit the retail business, as well as the industry in general. The study also identified the critical factor of fruit blockchain in the retail market and the relationship between the key factors blockchain in the retail industry. The unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT2) by adding trust as an independent variable. The cross-sectional approach used in this study. Hence, one hundred seventy-six (176) self-administered questionnaires distributed through simple random sampling technology aimed at blockchain in retail market users in Malaysia from 25 to 44 years. Data analysis performed using PLS. This document provides discussions, the important functions of blockchain mechanisms that implemented in critical existing operations of the retail market. This study provide different angles of this Malaysian retail fruit blockchain environment, not only in business processes and competition but also in cooperation between retailer and customers.This study serves as a guide for future research, facilitating the accumulation of knowledge and creating new understanding and awareness. The Malaysian retail industry needs an urgent technological transformation, industrial innovations and new growth paths, such as the adoption of blockchain systems and systems to maintain its global market share in the future. Therefore, the application of blockchain is a paper type research paper.
