Abstract

Owing to the circumscription of fossil fuels and crude oils, automobile sectors are perpetually shifting toward rechargeable predicated battery packs. Many researchers, scientists, and sundry companies such as—Tesla, BMW, Lightyear, etc., are spending an abundance of their R&D department for incrementing the potency storage capacity of variants of batteries. This paper proposes a literature review on different kinds of available battery packs utilized in sundry electrical conveyances. It additionally explicates the working principles, charging–discharging life cycles, architecture, energy density, and efficiency of various types of batteries such as—lead–acid battery, Nickel–metal hydride battery, lithium-ion battery (which is rudimentary the most prominent battery pack utilized in many electrical conveyances),supercapacitors and Ultrabattery in detail. The rudimental repercussions of all these battery packs along with their weight and cost function have withal been expounded in detail.
