Abstract

The automatic load alleviation (ALA) system of boom refueling can effectively protect the refueling device from mechanical damage during the docking. Aiming at developing the ALA function on the hardware-in-the-loop platform of boom refueling, a dynamic model of the platform is established. Based on the dynamic model, a control law with the load feedback compensator is designed to eliminate the load torque. The simulation results corroborate the effectiveness of the proposed method, which provides a theoretical basis for ground test verification.
