Abstract
The MSP case studies in the last two chapters demonstrate that patient engagement is essential for digital transformation in healthcare. However, the limited health literacy and disease literacy largely restricts patients’ involvement in the medical service delivery processes. A survey of 100 heavy Internet users uncovers that although patients have the intention to engage and the actual engagement is increasing, the quality of online medical information is far from satisfactory. Properly engaging patients in the medical service delivery process still has a long way to go.
