Abstract

The method used is a combination of two numerical schemes, a fourth-order compact method for the resolution of the Poisson equation of stream function, and a second-order one for the calculation of the vorticity transport equation. This so-called combined method has been proposed by Ta Phuoc Loc & Daube (1977).
