Zusammenfassung
Bissverletzungen sowie Stich-, Schuss- und Explosionsverletzungen sind chirurgisch potenziell sehr anspruchsvolle Krankheitsbilder, deren Beherrschung ein hohes Maß an chirurgischer Expertise erfordert. Da jedoch mit derlei Verletzungen auch ein erhebliches Infektionsrisiko einhergeht, das wiederum Ursache schwerwiegender Komplikationen sein kann, ist es wichtig, neben den chirurgischen Versorgungsprinzipien auch das Infektionsrisiko korrekt einzuschätzen und bereits zu Beginn der Behandlung die notwendigen Maßnahmen zu ergreifen. Dazu gibt dieses Kapitel einen Überblick.
