Zusammenfassung
Die inflammatorische Antwort nach einem operativen Eingriff stellt wahrscheinlich das biologische Bindeglied zwischen Operationen, dem anästhesiologischen Management und dem Outcome dar. Der operative Eingriff und die Wahl des Anästhesieverfahrens per se können ebenfalls die Immunreaktivität multifaktoriell und komplex beeinflussen. Klinisch manifestiert sich eine systemische inflammatorische Entzündungsreaktion („SIRS“), die neben günstigen Effekten wie der verbesserten Wundheilung oder Geweberegeneration auch komplexe immunsuppressive Wirkungen aufweist. Die Folge ist eine überschießende und/oder abgeschwächte Immunreaktivität unmittelbar postoperativ mit einem erhöhten Risiko für Komplikationen.
