Zusammenfassung
Als Dysmenorrhö werden schmerzhafte Menstruationsblutungen bezeichnet. Verursacht werden die Schmerzen werden dabei durch eine vermehrte Sekretion von Prostaglandinen und durch eine gesteigerte uterine Kontraktilität. Man unterscheidet zwischen einer primären Dysmenorrhö (keine organische Pathologie erkennbar) und einer sekundären Dysmenorrhö (beruhend auf verschiedensten organischen Pathologien). Die Diagnosestellung erfolgt überwiegend anhand einer ausführlichen Anamnese und klinischen Untersuchung. Zum Ausschluss einer sekundären Dysmenorrhö hilft eine Vaginalsonografie weiter. Therapieoptionen umfassen nicht-steroidale Antiphlogistika, orale Kontrazeptiva, aber auch physikalische Maßnahmen.
