Zusammenfassung

Das menschliche Gehirn besteht aus mehr als zehn Milliarden Nervenzellen (Neurone). Jede einzelne Nervenzelle ist um den Faktor 1000 mit anderen Nervenzellen verschaltet (Synapse). Dieses neuronale Netzwerk steuert eine Vielzahl lebenswichtiger Funktionen (Motorik, Kognition, Stimmung, vegetative Funktionen).
